I started out as the son of a pastor in the village of Ferring near Worthing, where I lived for most of my life up to this point! I became interested in computers when I was about 9 years old, when my family got our first computer (way back in 1997!). By the time I was 12 we were on the internet (dial-up of course!) and I became aware of things like websites. Messing around on Microsoft Frontpage making simple websites (about Pokemon, of course…!) became a bit of an obsession for a while!

I branched out from there and learnt all sorts of things over the years. Computers were a bit of a lifeline for me throughout my teens as I suffered from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome which left me quite isolated. I do still have CFS now but it’s not as disabling as it was then!

I got into doing computer jobs for people at first through my church, and also as part of my degree coursework (I have a BA in e-Communications from Sheffield Hallam – distance learning worked wonders for me!). In that course I learnt more about how to mentor others and help them to learn how to use computers better, and soon started putting that into practice! Later on I met Nick Rodgers from Fit Well and Connected and started doing websites and computer installations for charities supported by them, and my business developed from there.

These days I live near Bognor Regis in the little village of Eastergate, since my Dad retired from the ministry. If you want to find out more about how I work, check the Computer Help page!
